Are my screenshots uploaded to any server? expand_more

No. Never. Redaktix executes all machine vision, text parsing, and pixel rendering entirely on your machine using WebAssembly and Web Workers. Inspect your browser Network tab to verify zero network requests are dispatched when uploading or editing.

Can Redaktix read or train AI models on my screenshots? expand_more

No. Because the images never reach any external infrastructure, we have zero access to your pixels or data. We cannot train models on your data, sell it, or accidentally expose it in a database breach.

Is blackout safer than blur? expand_more

Yes. While Redaktix offers heavy pixelation and blur options, solid blackout is the gold standard for security. Modern neural networks can sometimes invert shallow blurs, but solid black permanently destroys the underlying pixel data forever.

Does it work directly with copied screenshots? expand_more

Yes! You do not need to save images to your desktop. Simply press Cmd+Shift+4 or Win+Shift+S, switch to Redaktix, and hit Cmd+V.
